News regarding future versions of the client

Hello everyone!

Im glad to say that Skype Classic 4.0 was a good success according to the download statistics that i looked at, im really thankful to the people who tried the client and reported any bugs and errors.

Now i wanted to update you on the progress regarding the new version, first thing is that im aiming for a full rewrite for version 5.0, this is so i can have an easier time fixing bugs and implementing new features.

However im also planning to release version "4.5" in beetween, while i finish the rewrite for version 5, which i will also validate in multiple Linux distros to make sure it also works well there.

I don't currently have an ETA for when either version will be released, as im quite busy for the time being, however since 4.0 is relatively stable (for now at least) i will probably take more time to release the next update.

I will keep you guys updated and let you know what features will be added in these versions, i don't have much to say yet so stay tuned.
